Amazons Devices and Services Design organization is a central creative studio is responsible for creating exciting AI-driven Alexa and UI experiences for flagship products including Echo Show Alexa Mobile Fire TV Fire Tablets and more. Are you interested in joining the team to lead Amazons next innovation
Key job responsibilities
As a Visual UX Designer you will be hands on working alongside a talented team of designers researchers and technologists focused on the digital aesthetics of our Fire TV device experiences. You will utilize your strong understanding of visual systems and best practices including layout color palette typography iconography and illustrations. You are at ease visualizing an experience in the abstract building consensus and then driving that vision into concise design deliverables. As a tastemaker and visual storyteller you will advocate for design excellence and help create meaningful emotional connection between customers and our products. This role is based in Seattle WA.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a keen eye for elegant modern design and UI patterns. You think holistically and craft the why of all that we ship advocating for your design solutions by putting them in context of business and customer goals. You have a strong understanding visual systems and best practices including layout typography and interface design. You are able to take those understanding and build component libraries define tokens and establish guidelines for other designers to use. You are at ease visualizing an experience in the abstract building consensus and then driving that vision into concise design deliverables. As a tastemaker and visual storyteller you will advocate for design excellence and help create meaningful emotional connection between customers and our products.

- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma ProtoPie Adobe Creative Cloud or similar
- Experience working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
- Knowledge of mobile and web design patterns and accessibility standards
- Demonstrative experience crafting design concepts that inform the future vision for a digital product and collaborating with motion designers illustrators and content creators.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $72900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $158100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
