ABOUT THE POSITION
The Superior Court of Los Angeles County is looking for motivated strategic and service-driven professionals to join us as an Administrator II. This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing all non-judicial operations and administrative functions of a trial court or a central litigation divisiontypically supporting 20 to 25 courtrooms or this role youll oversee complex administrative functions drive operational excellence and help drive the delivery of court services. Whether managing litigation support sections or leading a central administrative division your work will directly impact the Courts ability to serve the public efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan Organize & Evaluate Operations Lead the full spectrum of administrative and operational functions across your assigned court or division.
  • Manage & Develop Staff Supervise managers and staff foster accountability and support professional growth through coaching and performance management.
  • Lead with Vision Inspire a service-oriented culture through strong leadership training and employee engagement.
  • Oversee Core Court Functions Manage critical areas that directly affect court functionality such as facilities fiscal operations jury services and vendor relationships.
  • Drive Strategic & Case Management Planning Align your teams efforts with the Courts mission to improve case management and service delivery.
  • Shape Policy & Improve Processes Analyze and refine policies and procedures to ensure compliance efficiency and high-quality service.
This is an at-will managerial position. The Trial Court Employment Protection and Governance Act (SB 2140) authorizes the Court to exclude managerial employees from the employment protection provisions of theAct subject to meet and confer.

THIS IS A TELEWORK ELIGIBLE OPPORTUNITY
This position may be eligible for partial telework following an initial training period and contingent upon the needs of the Court.

MINIMUMREQUIREMENTS

To qualify you must meet one of the following requirements at time of application:


OPTION I:Six (6) years of experience at the level of aCourt Operations Managerfor the Superior Court of Los Angeles County.


OPTION II:Bachelors degreefrom accredited four-year college or university*-AND-two(2) years of experience at the level of aCourt Operations Managerfor the Superior Court of Los Angeles County.


OPTION III:Six (6) years of progressive responsibility managing** multiple administrative support functions and/or operations in a Court or public entity at the level of a Superior Court of Los Angeles CountyCourt Operations Manager.

**Managing is defined as having the responsibility for planning organizing supervising subordinate staff implementing and administering the work of a functional program or section through subordinate staff performing comparable duties at the level of a Superior Court of Los Angeles County
Court Operations Manager.

Note: Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio i.e. working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will be independent reliable adaptable and possess the following desirable qualifications:
  • Experience working with and applying laws rules and regulations such as California Rules of Court Civil Code Government Code Local Court Rules etc.
  • Experience in working with Judicial Officers labor groups State and County government officials and other stakeholders.
  • Experience with planning for implementing and developing trainings for Case Management Systems.
