Job Description
Job Opportunity: Locum OB/GYN Physician
Summary: Join a team at a well-established facility in Garden City Kansas known for its commitment to providing quality healthcare. This position entails covering OBGYN services at a reputable hospital with a collaborative environment focused on patient care and advanced clinical practices.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients including new obstetrics established obstetrics and gynecological issues.
- Conduct surgical consultations and perform non-emergent surgeries twice per week.
- Engage in 24-hour shifts coordinating both inpatient and outpatient care.
- Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals including midwives and nurse anesthetists.
- Maintain documentation and correspondence through an electronic medical record (EMR) system specifically EPIC.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in OB/GYN (Required) or Truly Board Eligible (0-5 years post-residency).
- Active Kansas medical license (Highly Preferred).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Required).
- Active DEA registration and CDS certification (Required).
- Demonstrated experience in performing at least 5 C-sections and 5 hysterectomies in the last 24 months.
- Clear malpractice and background check (Highly Preferred).
License and Certification Requirements:
- Current and unrestricted Kansas medical license.
- Board Certification in OB/GYN (Required).
- DEA registration (Required).
- BLS certification (Required).
