It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work onsite for three (3) or more days a week and will have a dedicated workspace when working onsite. Work location is subject to change based on business needs.
The Senior Analyst Credit Risk serves as a key technical expert within the banks credit risk management function providing advanced analytical support and insights to drive informed credit card acquisitions decisions. This experienced professional conducts in-depth analysis of credit card acquisitions data strategies vintage performance and line assignment tests by channel and partner. This role is also responsible for strategy tracking and analysis supporting Acquisitions strategy profit/loss optimization. The position requires strong analytical capabilities combined with business acumen to translate complex credit data into actionable recommendations. The Senior Analyst works with minimal supervision while providing expert opinion to cross functional staff.
About This Role:
Major responsibilities:
- Analyze new account acquisition and line assignment strategy data to measure performance and develop strategy enhancements.
- Comprehensive analysis of credit card acquisition vintage performance metrics including delinquency charge-off profit and utilization patterns.
- Analyze historic acquisitions data and evaluate risk-adjusted returns across card products segments and acquisition channels.
- Support new business development by determining appropriate acquisitions strategy deployment for new partner programs and new products/features.
- Perform statistical analyses to identify performance trends and relationships and develop acquisitions strategy optimization recommendations.
- Communicate proposed changes to risk committees marketing finance teams and strategy forums among others.
- Partner with Marketing Finance and other areas of Credit to articulate detailed acquisitions strategy performance.
The Ideal Candidate for This Role:
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in quantitative fields such as Math Physics Statistics Engineering Computer Science required. Advanced degree preferred.
- 3 years of experience in Fraud/Credit management or other highly analytical business field or advanced degree in STEM field.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to present recommendations and influence senior management.
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines and work independently.
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of consumer and/or small business credit card.
- Understanding statistical techniques and modeling.
- Understand and articulate practical business applications in credit risk management.
- Ability to work with data to identify complex business trends and propose solutions.
- Ability to extract summarize and analyze large data sets leveraging querying and reporting tools including SQL Python SAS Snowflake Snowsight and Power BI.
- Expertise in MS Office products especially Excel.
Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship.
Compensation:
Compensation range (base pay): $80061.00-$132099.00
This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.
Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience education and/or skill level.
