POSITION SUMMARY:
This position creates and packages products of various kinds. Safety and Quality concerns are paramount. Chemicals blenders handle raw material sample batches record data / paperwork and forklift. Will be cross trained on other tasks & functions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for processing formulas and blending products for shipment
Responsible for decanting chemical into containers as specified in related procedures
Responsible for all shipping and receiving duties
Quarantine suspects chemical material and report to Operations Manager
Comply with all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and safe handling practices as required from Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and company procedures
Follow WHMIS MSDS and all other safety training requirements and procedures
Follow all government and regulatory requirements when handling and transporting chemical materials
Clean and store safety equipment for re-use
Comply with all safety requirements within the company
Report process and/or safety equipment issues to Operations Manager
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment as required
Report to Operations Manager to ensure adequate inventory and raw materials in the plant
Responsible for housekeeping through the plant and facility
Ensure supplies are distributed as required throughout the facility
Neatly store supplies empty containers and inform purchasing when levels require re-ordering
General housekeeping of the plant and surrounding areas
Regular and sustained attendance
Provide back up support to all plant staff when needed
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience in a manufacturing facility
Previous experience operating a forklift
Ability to collaborate effectively and efficiently with colleagues
Strong communication skills and time management
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED.
