POSITION SPECIFICS:
Examples of Duties:
The VAPA Enrichment Teacherassigned to support VAPA Elementary Artswill teach elementary grades across two or more campuses integrated media and visual incumbent will be expected to:
Prepares lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
Encourages pupils to work both collaboratively and independently to express original ideas and develop novel solutions to real world problems.
Creates a classroom environment that is culturally inclusive anti biased anti racist and conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical social and emotional development of students.
Assesses student progress on objectives expectations and/or goals and provides feedback to students parents and administration in addition to providing outcomes during the grade reporting period.
Plans and uses appropriate instructional and learning strategies activities materials and equipment including instructional media.
Collaborates regularly with arts educator peers.
Participates in regular professional learning growth and development including but not limited to action research.
Participates in site specific committees as appropriate.
Possesses a well developed growth mindset and commitment to equity.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Licenses and Other Requirements:
Qualified candidates must have a Multiple Subject Credential with supplemental authorization to teach dance music theatre or art (or willingness to obtain a Limited Assignment in dance music theatre or art); or a Single Subject Credential in dance music theatre or art (or willingness to obtain a Limited Assignment in dance music theatre or art) in California or an equivalent out-of-state teaching credential.

The examination process will consist of an application screening based on the candidates education work history and responses to the supplemental questions. Professional References will be contacted for candidates who are selected to proceed in the examination process. Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications are not guaranteed advancement through any subsequent phase of the examination. Candidates selected to proceed in the examination process will be invited to an interview. Applicants who pass the examination process will be placed on an eligible list for a period of one school year. The eligible list will be used to fill vacancies at various school sites.
