Job Description
Mater Dei High School a Catholic co-educational college preparatory high school of the Diocese of Orange has an immediate opening for a Visual Arts Teacher.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate current knowledge of the subject area and be able to engage students using a wide variety of teaching strategies. Must be highly skilled at planning organizing and developing curriculum to meet all students needs and engage students in their overall should have direct experience with Visual Arts Instruction with an emphasis in Drawing & Painting to teach beginning through advanced (Art 1 Art 2 Art 3 and AP Studio Art) classes.
Candidate must have the ability to collaborate with colleagues in the Visual Arts department and be enthusiastic about ongoing professional learning and development.
Candidate should be dedicated to the mission of Catholic education as envisioned in Church documents and teachings rooted in our core principles of Honor Glory and Love.
Education: Bachelors Degree required along with California Single Subject Teaching Credential or Masters Degree.
Experience: Previous high school teaching and Visual Arts subject experience is preferred.
Certifications: CPR certification required.
