Description

You will coordinate and deliver outcomes from Councils Public Art Masterplan to continue cultivating a stronger sense of place support increased visitation and showcase Alice Springs identity through both existing and new projects. As part of the Cultural and Community Development team you will also plan deliver promote and support a range of community events that activate the Central Business District and enhance our public spaces. Also you will work closely with key stakeholders including the Todd Mall Traders Association to ensure efficient and effective project execution through meaningful consultation and collaboration.

This is a permanent part-time position requiring 30.4 hours per week across Monday to Friday with flexible rostering available i.e. four days a week or total hours spread across Monday to Friday.

Skills And Experiences

We are seeking a driven professional who excels in fast-paced settings and delivers meaningful outcomes for the community who can bring:

  • Qualification(s) or experience in Event Management and/or Public Art
  • Strong understanding of how events activations and public art contribute to achieving Councils vision for the Town of Alice Springs
  • High-level written communication skills with experience producing quality reports
  • Strong organisational innovative problem-solving and adaptable time management abilities
  • Experience in management of public art including development of scope consultation design and implementation phases
  • Knowledge of placemaking principles and their role in building resilient connected communities
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse community groups and stakeholders
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends/evenings where required
