Project Engineer Construction Management (I-Sol)
I-Solutions is part of GBAs network of services which provides unique project solutions to the infrastructure market. We provide general contracting construction and design-build services when managing multi-trade infrastructure construction projects. From emergency repairs to demolition and maintenance our knowledge and passion ensures projects are repaired faster safer and more efficiently.
We are looking for a candidate to provide project support by working with a variety of disciplines. The ideal candidate will have an attention to detail a partner approach to problem solving and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Assist on design-build projects working a multidisciplined team of architects engineers owners subcontractors etc.
- Estimating quantity takeoff and perform subcontractor pricing reviews / verifications.
- Assist project superintendent with day to day activities such as drawing coordination safety reports daily logs and reports progress photos quality assurance and site communication and coordination.
- Assist with coordination of subcontractors on site
- Quality control assistance
- Assist with schedule evaluations and updates
- Assist with site logistics planning and coordination
- Interact with clients and design team as needed to resolve issues and expedite the work
- Assist with project bidding and buyout and project budget management
- Safety assistance while on job sites
- Review weekly material needs for projects with field staff
- Review RFQs from vendors for availability and pricing
- Develop inventory list for tracking and maintenance purposes
- Procure conex and setup for material and tool storage
- Ensure organization of equipment for efficient use of space
- Determine priority equipment repairs and schedule required maintenance
- Forecast future equipment needs and maintain tracking log of current maintenance
- Coordinate branding efforts for all equipment
- Review and determine traffic control requirements
- Coordinate signage and deliveries for projects
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 4 year Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
- Hands on construction experience / internships is preferred
- Partnership approach to working with architects and engineers
- MS Office Suite knowledge and excellent computer skills
- MS Project experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player
- Self-motivation and time management skills
- Travel may be required
