Overview:
Are you interested in shaping the future of movies and television for Prime Video customers Do you want to define the next generation of how and what Amazon customers are watching Prime Video is one of the leading digital video services on the Internet today and were just getting started.
We are seeking a talented Quality Assurance Engineer-II to join our Prime Video Ads QA this role you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our advertising products and services across Video On Demand (VOD) and Live Events. You will work closely with developers product managers and other stakeholders to design and implement comprehensive test strategies automate testing processes and identify and resolve issues before they impact our customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of quality assurance engineering experience with manual and automated testing. Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium. Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality. Experience with Android iOS or other mobile application development or testing. Profound experience scripting or coding. Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements. Experience with cloud-based testing and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Knowledge of video streaming technologies and ad insertion techniques. Familiarity with performance testing tools and methodologies.
Basic Qualifications:
3 years of quality assurance engineering experience. Experience in manual testing. Experience in automation testing. Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects. Experience developing high quality test plans test designs test strategies and test execution
Key job responsibilities
Review BRDs Design docs UX Mock-ups. Develop and execute test plans test cases and test scripts for Prime Video Ad products. Automate dashboards from test results and reports. Design and implement automated testing frameworks and tools. Perform functional regression and performance testing. Identify document and track software defects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and user experience. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality. Analyze test results and provide detailed reports to stakeholders. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software testing.
A day in the life
- Review BRDs Design docs UX mock-ups
- Create test strategy and test plans test cases.
- Perform functional non-functional and performance testing
- Raise bugs triage and manage stakeholder communications (QA status reports Slack updates)
- Participate in GNG meetings represent QA team
- Perfrom functional and performance automation for key (P0) test scenarios end-to-end particpate in code reviews
- Provide launch support during feature/release dial-ups.
- Invent and define processes for improvements whereas applicable innovate in the role.
- 4 years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Bachelors degree
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects
- Experience with at least one automated test framework like Selenium or Appium
- Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics to measure product quality

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $102600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
