Job Description
Locum Urologist Opportunity in Durango CO
Summary: Join our dynamic healthcare team in Durango Colorado where Mercy Regional Medical Center is seeking a locum Urologist. This facility is committed to providing high-quality care and anticipates the need for locums coverage lasting three weeks per month on an ongoing basis. The practice offers a versatile work environment including inpatient outpatient emergency room and clinic settings.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide urological care and perform necessary procedures in a clinical setting.
- Conduct patient consultations and follow-up appointments.
- Manage 24-hour on-call duties on weekends.
- Collaborate with a support team including Medical Assistants Nurse Practitioners and Physicians Assistants.
- Utilize EPIC EMR for patient documentation and management.
- Participate in scheduled night call shifts and manage patient care during those hours.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Urology; BE candidates will not be accepted.
- Active Colorado Medical License (highly preferred).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required for credentialing).
- Active DEA License (required for credentialing).
- Availability to cover various shifts detailed in the job description.
- Must have a clean malpractice background.
- Must maintain a clean background for credentialing.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in Urology.
- Active Colorado Medical License (preferred).
- Current BLS Certification.
- Active DEA License required during the assignment.
