About the Role
- This role would suit a junior RMO who is looking to gain more experience in a specialised service.
- The role is for 6 months from then you will return to the main house officer roster.
- Hospital small enough to give you hands-on specialist-led experience yet big enough to learn through an internationally renowned research partnership your career opportunities are limitless.
- You will be exposed to several medical situations that will equip you well for future training Registrar roles.
- The Urology House Officer role is one that supports and works closely with the three consultants registrar and nurse specialist to deliver positive outcomes for Southland patients.
- We cover the gamut urological procedures both inpatients and outpatients covering a geographic area from Queenstown to Stewart Island from Southland Hospital.

- Working in a close-knit team you will have excellent access to your Registrar and Consultants and unrivalled opportunities to experience many of the varied urology presentations to the hospital.

About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for general or provisional general registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. You can check your eligibility for registration by visiting the Councils website at
- A minimum of 1 year post qualification experience.
It is requirement of the Medical Council of New Zealand that your qualifications are approved through EPIC. If you have a commitment to working in New Zealand it is highly recommended that you start this process as soon as possible to allow your subsequent registration to be undertaken in a timely fashion.
