Job Description
The Category Management Analyst is integral to optimizing the supply chain and driving the success of product categories. This role demands strong analytical capabilities strategic insight and industry to support our strategic sourcing category management efforts and motor background and knowledge. This role will focus on leading key category initiatives sourcing projects delivering actionable insights into market dynamics and developing category intelligence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional data analysis skills effective communication and the ability to collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to meet category objectives.
Your role:
Category Strategy Support
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of rotating equipment category to identify trends opportunities and areas for improvement
- Support strategic sourcing events with market research supplier analysis and cost modeling.
- Collaborate closely with procurement supply chain and finance teams to align category market trends and execute plans effectively.
Project & Initiative Management
- Lead or support cross-functional projects related to category optimization and cost reduction.
- Plan coordinate and manage end-to-end project lifecycles including timelines deliverables risk management and stakeholder communications.
- Track and report on project outcomes and ensure alignment with broader category goals.
- Lead or support segmentation strategy in the category and supplier count
- Support on KPI measurement tools and tracking
Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders seeking category insights.
- Present findings and recommendations in a clear compelling manner to influence decision-making.
- Facilitate alignment between different functional leads to ensure that strategies are consistently applied across organization.
Market Intelligence & Analysis
- Monitor and analyze market trends supplier landscapes and competitive dynamics to inform category strategies.
- Perform market research to gain insights into supply chain dynamics competitive landscape and industry trends for specified categories.
- Provide timely insights and recommendations to category managers and business stakeholders.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
- Manage and deliver the following recurring and strategic reports:
- Monthly Sourcing Initiatives Work and follow up on sourcing initiatives within the category.
- Monthly KPI reporting consolidate and analyze key metrics and trends across assigned.
- Lead category projects responsible of leading projects in the category and align with primary and secondary objectives
- Maintain and update sourcing roadmaps - Ensure sourcing roadmaps are up-to-date and reflect current supplier capabilities competitiveness and constraints.
- Support the category strategy Support the strategy by leading the initiatives derived from it and aligning with different stakeholders.
Your profile:
Knowledge and implementation at the purchasing level of technical requirements and quality related to products
Knowledge of pumps enviroment
Good understanding of all the main purchasing areas: negotiations evaluation and development of suppliers supplier quality logistics etc.
Fluency in English
Knowledge of the requirements of our markets
BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 5-7 years relevant experience
Skills:
Purchasing techniques proficiency
Global and strategic negotiating skills
