AWS Solutions Architect – (Domain-Driven & Event-Driven Architecture)

Position Description:

Mandate Context

Our client a large financial institution is developing and evolving a diverse portfolio of solutions on AWS.

This role covers both:
the creation of new cloud-native applications and
the evolution of existing architectures.
A strong focus will be placed on Event-Driven Architectures (EDA) using Apache Kafka as well as Domain-Driven Design (DDD) approaches to structure and scale systems.

Key Responsibilities
Design reliable high-performing and secure AWS architectures.
Evaluate and estimate the technical efforts of projects.
Propose optimized solutions aligned with business needs.
Actively contribute to the implementation of AWS services and Kafka.
Ensure technical consistency and collaboration across teams.

Desired Profile
Technical skills:
Advanced AWS expertise: EKS Lambda Step Functions DynamoDB Aurora API Gateway S3 VPC CloudFormation/Terraform CloudWatch.
Strong mastery of Event-Driven Architectures with proven experience using Apache Kafka.
Solid experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and microservices.
Strong knowledge of asynchronous patterns and distributed architectures.

Experience and qualities:
Ability to accurately estimate development and evolution efforts.
Talent for simplifying and communicating complex technical concepts.
Technical leadership and collaborative mindset.
Experience in complex environments ideally regulated or financial.

Assets:
AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification.
Experience in large-scale system migrations or modernization projects.
Experience setting up event streaming platforms.
