The Coordinator of Student Services & Events EMBA Opportunity
The Coordinator of Student Services & Events plays a critical role in delivering high-impact student experience for over 350 Executive MBA students enrolled in the Cornell EMBA Americas and EMBA Metro NY programs. Reporting to the Director of Operations for EMBA Programs this position works independently to lead the planning coordination and execution of class weekends multi-day residential sessions in Ithaca and NYC a range of co-curricular engagement activities or EMBA students and alumni and provides planning and coordination support to the Queens team for the Kingston and Toronto residential sessions . This includes end-to-end management of classroom and event logistics student lodging dietary accommodations faculty support professional headshots pre-program materials and coordination with IT catering and facilities. The role also supports onboarding of 215 new students each year facilitates communications and surveys manages program materials and announcements and ensures smooth operations across ten national boardrooms used by EMBA Americas students. Additionally this role collaborates with the EMBA Admissions team to provide logistical support for prospective student events helping to create a welcoming and polished first impression for future EMBA students.
With a student-first mindset this position is instrumental in cultivating a seamless community-centered environment during high-touch in-person programming. The coordinator regularly staffs class weekends and residential sessions serving as the first point of contact for programming and events for students and faculty alike. Responsibilities also include drafting class weekend newsletters supporting financial transactions maintaining program databases and contributing to special projects and strategic initiatives. As a core member of the two-person operations team this role ensures that academic delivery and co-curricular engagement exceed expectations despite high volume and complexity.
This is a full-time position with regular weekend work required.
