Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Develops strategic selling approach to targeted and qualified opportunities

  • Understands key playersapplicationsrequirements and trends in the foodservice Equipment and Project industry

  • Review tender documents specifications and drawings to prepare detailed bids for Food Service Equipment projects

  • Analyze project scope including equipment specificationsquantities labour to determine overall project viability and costs.

  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate and competitive pricing for componentsmaterials and services and factor these into bid submissions

  • Assess risksidentify opportunities for cost savings and ensure proposals are competitive while maintaining profitability.

  • Follow up with clients after bid submissionaddressing questions or concerns and negotiating terms and conditions as required.

  • Develop and maintain bid pricing models to ensure accuracy in estimates across multiple projects.

  • Oversee development of business plans for Overall Division 11400. Assist with new account development and visit key customers and consultants to build relationships and growth opportunities

  • Review and analyze weekly and monthly reports to improve sales margin manage accounts receivable develop staff and to identify problems and solutions. Develop and submit periodic reports on area progress and issues to direct supervisor.

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of contract sales from initial lead generation and client engagement to contract negotiations and project execution and post install procedures

  • Prepare and present Contract proposals including pricing product selectioninstallation timelines and after sales services ensuring the terms are mutually beneficial.

  • Ensure all Bid and Contract documents comply with legal and company standards.

  • Stay up to date on the latest trends innovations codes offering valuable insight to clients

  • Develop accurate sales forecasts providing regular updates to managers on performance against targets and pipeline status.

  • Prepare and present detailed sales reports tracking key performance metrics such as opportunities sales growth customer satisfaction and profit margins

  • Assist in the development of process marketing materialspresentations and proposals to support all sales growth initiatives.

  • Create and present highly professional presentations for potential new customers.

  • Meet or exceed company sales and profit plans

  • Collaborate and mentors the overall Contact Team

  • Develop and manage project budgets ensuring costs are controlled change orders tracked and project is on time.

  • Proactively identify risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Conduct reviews of performance to plan and modify or realign where necessary to achieve plan.

  • Maintain industry knowledge through industry on going training Consultant events and industry trade shows.

  • Demonstrate and deliver understanding of Foodservice Industry and operations

  • Understand areas of customer focus including Sales Building Staffing Profitability and Compliance

  • Interviews hire train and retain sales staff. Conducts performance monitoring of staff initiating follow through with disciplinary action and termination in consultation with Human Resources when appropriate for the department. Mentors motivates and develops staff and acts as a role model and resource to them.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Proficient with AUTO QUOTES

  • Ability to read and understand drawings

  • Understanding and proficient with third party portals such as Building ConnectedProcoreInvitelyand Swiftender etc

  • Strong understanding of Food Service Equipment including Kitchen and Bar appliances Ventilation Refrigeration Cooking Holding and Warewash

  • Excellent knowledge of custom stainless manufacturing process and methodology. Including complete understanding of Shop drawing process

  • Understanding of POC (Point of Connection drawings)

  • Strong understanding of food service equipmentincluding installation and commissioning process

  • Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to handle complex contracts and pricing challenges.

  • This position requires excellent supervisory customer service problem solving interpersonal communication and mentoring skills to represent the department speak at minor functions and resolve vendor problems.

  • Must have good time management administration collaboration and organizational skills to understand and assist in developing relationships between sales transportation and the customer.

  • Must be able to develop refine communicate and implement plans.

  • Must have industry knowledge and be able to analyze and interpret data.

  • Must be a strategic thinker in order to build relationships network and link resources to plan and execute business practices and achieve business goals.

  • Must be able to develop profitability models and other analytical tools.

  • Must be able to read and interpret complex documents and have very good mathematical aptitude.

  • Must be able to work exceptional hours including evenings and weekends.

  • Must possess good evaluation feedback and training skills.
