In this role you will be required to:
Define Process Method and Tools across Performance Engineering Life Cycle.
Gain technical and functional understanding of GE HealthCares products/solutions and become part of the ongoing improvement of the performance of our enterprise application.
Establish performance benchmark for solution and drive Performance testing for on-premises and cloud application preferably AWS.
Own performance engineering tasks; and deliver while mentoring and helping team members.
Identify the scope of the work provide estimate and create test plan/strategy.
Supervise performance tests with the tools in place interpret the results and identify the impacts on stability performance of the various components of the infrastructure (network servers).
Performing deep analysis of full end to end platform stack and recommend performance improvements and capacity expectations.
Demonstrate the ability to debug performance related issues down to code Driving root-cause analysis for performance bottlenecks.
Provide in-depth performance tuning guidelines to product development teams.
Periodically communicate performance test results critical issues and updates to key stakeholders.
Demonstrate command of quality assurance tools systems analysis automated test case and solutions debugging documentation and software controllership.
Develop standardized framework (templates/questionnaires) which can be leveraged during scoping of new requirements (product/solution level).
Develop collaterals on latest performance engineering trends POVs & best practices.
Grow and evolve our performance tooling and testing processes to ensure tests are customer-like and representative of real-world scenarios.
Define Standards and Best practices for Performance Scalability and Maintainability.
Introduce methodologies and toolsets that enable performance observability and sustainability.
Education Qualification:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or STEM Majors (Science Technology Engineering and Math)
Min. 10 years of relevant experience as Performance Architect with proven track record
Technical Expertise:
Strong exposure to architecture analysis and implementation
The ability to quickly react and adapt to changes based on Performance test results
Expertise in LoadRunner Jmeter or equivalent load simulation tools and should have working knowledge of UFT selenium AutoIT etc.
Expertise in APM tools (AppDynamics or similar tools)
Experience working in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
Knowledge of scripting language such as JavaScript Python shell Perl VB scripting etc.
Hands-on experience working on cloud environment preferably AWS
Experience with monitoring profiling & diagnostics tools
Excellent understanding of issues of scale and performance in large-scale cloud environments and ability to identify debug and propose viable solutions.
Working knowledge of Java & NET applications performance optimization.
In-depth knowledge in the stacks of common network protocols
Strong background in High-Performance Computing
Knowledge of appliances such as firewalls routers and load balancers is preferred
Knowledge of Performance Engineering concepts such as JVM Garbage collection Threading
Knowledge of SQL including stored procedures data models and transactional flows
Knowledge of Continuous Integration -CI-CD Continuous deployment using Jenkins or equivalent tools
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with engineers architects product owners and development managers as well as other teams across the organization
Leadership:
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to articulate specific technical topics
Demonstrates clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions
Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interface with senior leadership with confidence and clarity
Able to work well with global teams including time-zone flexibility
Skilled in providing oversight and mentoring team members. Shows ability to effectively delegate work
