The Team: We at ASIN Localization are an integral part of creating new listings and enabling customers to shop in a language of preference globally. Our vision is to enable customers in every Store to have access to all of Amazons WW selection and in a language of their choice. Every year we help in launching new marketplaces and localize billions of products for Amazon worldwide. The site at Hyderabad manages multiple critical programs for WW Localization team.
The Role: Were seeking an exceptional Program Manager to drive Operational Excellence in project/program management at our Hyderabad team. Operational Excellence is not just a set of activities; its a philosophy anchored in problem-solving and leadership to create sustainable continuous improvement.
As our ideal candidate you will enhance both service value and delivery to our customers deploy new processes and implement consistent improvements. You will drive high-visibility strategic programs and lead process improvement initiatives while balancing big-picture thinking with meticulous attention to detail. This role involves managing multiple critical programs for Worldwide ASIN Localization structuring programs to launch new processes and rectifying defects across existing portfolios. You will coordinate with multiple internal Amazon teams present to senior leadership and drive alignment among stakeholders.
Ideal candidate is expected to:
- Work with internal teams (Engineering/Product Management etc) to identify opportunities and set up new processes from scratch which can reduce operational load on partner teams.
- Work with product management/Engineering teams to understand program requirements and jointly develop a solution to drive automation as well as deliver on the yearly goals.
- Identify defects deep dive root causes and work out short-term and long-term solutions. Use industry proven tools such as lean/six sigma to drive operational efficiencies and quality improvement in the operations team under your purview.
- Develop team goals and metrics that allow for accurate measurement and traction towards solving a business problem achieve buy-in from stakeholders and actively report progress on the goals.
- Thrive in a dynamic environment addressing varying workloads customer priorities and changing mix of workload for optimum throughput management.
- - 6 years of program or project management experience
- - Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- - Experience owning program strategy end to end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
- - Experience working cross functionally with tech teams
- - Excellent communication and writing skills with the ability to translate technical information into clear and concise SOPs or narratives.
- - Highly organized detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously.
- - 2 years of driving process improvements experience
- - Masters degree or MBA
