Position Description:
As a Quality Engineer you will be working alongside the Service (Contract) Manager to address mechanical and electrical issues within the Vanderlande North American Amazon site network. This role will investigate non wear & tear issues at sites aimed at providing both short term solutions for the sites as well as long term solutions to prevent the issue on future projects. This Engineer will play a critical role in coordinating quality & warranty related activities while connecting the Vanderlande Service organization to the Engineering and operations organization.
Essential Functions:
Travel to Vanderlande North America Sites to identify systemic issues.
Act as approving authority over warranty claims.
Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical systemic issues relating to Vanderlande supplied equipment.
Lead corrective actions on warranty fixes.
Act as the main point of contact with the Global Amazon Reliability team.
Coordinate efforts between Amazon and Vanderlande Engineering on Quality Improvement initiatives.
Work closely with the Vanderlande Global Problem Solving Unit.
Assist in defining scope of site upgrade/retrofit requests.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelors degree in engineering or 5 years experience.
3 Years of Material Handling Equipment experience.
Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
Demonstrable experience in leading inter-organization collaboration.
Experience managing stakeholders both internal and external.

Position Type/Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position working in the Marietta office 40 hours a week.
Travel:
This position will require occasional travel both within the US and outside. Most of the travel will be within the continental US. Travel typically will not exceed one week at a time and the position is expected to travel up to 30% of the year.
