The role and key responsibilities
NCC is looking for a Group Head of Health and Safety to lead and further develop a best-in-class Health and Safety function.
As Group Head of Health & Safety you will lead and further develop the Health and Safety function within NCC. You will be responsible for implementing strategies processes and developing systems to make informed strategic decisions and capitalize on market opportunities. NCC has a decentralized organization and as Group Head of Health & Safety you will drive the strategic agenda aligning with the targets of the different business areas. You will cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders on all levels within NCC to further position Health and Safety as an integrated part of our business and as key among all our leaders. You will report to the Group Head of HR and you will be a member of the HR Management team.
Key responsibilities:
Responsibility for leading and developing the group common parts within Health & Safety at NCC (strategies framework processes etc)
Lead and develop the Health and Safety Management team - supporting unanimity and collaboration across the organization while at the same time allowing for business area specific deviances
Collect analyze and report health and safety data to support systematic improvements (to Senior Management Team the Board etc)
Cooperate with key stakeholders to anchor initiatives widely in the organization frequent interaction with Senior Management
Naturally interact with colleagues on all levels of our business taking a prominent role as an ambassador (Star behavior) within your area of expertise. actively listening to business needs
Represent NCC externally in different foras (Byggfretagen etc)

Qualifications :
Your experience and background
This is a unique opportunity for a health and safety executive to join a high-performing team and contribute to a leading business in an exciting industry. We are seeking a self-driven individual with a robust health and safety skillset and proven track record who can balance leading the development of a health and safety team with acting as a strategic partner to the rest of the management team. You should have an academic degree and experience in health and safety ideally at or near the Group lead level in a large company with experience managing multiple stakeholders. You excel at building strong relationships and you have the ability to make full use of the capabilities of a large matrix organization. Additionally you thrive in a setting where you can make an impact at a strategic level while handling both tactical tasks.
You are a mature leader who is dedicated driven and solution-oriented with a natural interest in how health and safety can contribute to business success. Your proactive mindset and structured approach will support the development of the health and safety function. You enjoy collaborating with others but are equally comfortable making bold decisions independently when necessary. Fluency in English and Swedish is required for this role.

This position is based in one of NCCs main offices in the Nordics and requires regular travel. However we encourage flexible working and digital collaboration whenever possible. As part of NCCs safety culture background checks will be conducted for final candidates.
