Location: Much Hadham Hertfordshire
Salary: 26632 per annum

Hours: Monday Friday 09:00 17:00

About St Elizabeths Centre

St Elizabeths is a vibrant values-led charity set in 60 acres of Hertfordshire countryside supporting children young people and adults with complex needs including epilepsy and learning disabilities.

About the Role

As a Lead Instructor you will be helping our clients build confidence learn new skills and enjoy a greater sense of independence all while supervising a team of carers to deliver high-quality care tailored to each individual we support.


This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is kind and compassionate with excellent communication and organisation skills.


What youll do

  • Plan organise and lead engaging arts and crafts activities tailored to residents abilities and interests.
  • Lead and motivate a team of support staff in delivering person-centred care
  • Encourage participation and creative expression to support emotional well-being and cognitive stimulation.
  • Support individuals with personal care (where required) and daily living tasks
  • Monitor and record outcomes ensuring health and safety and safeguarding protocols are followed
  • Communicate effectively with families healthcare professionals and the wider team


What were looking for

We are seeking a passionate and creative person with a keen interest in leading Arts and Crafts activities. This unique role combines hands-on care responsibilities with the coordination and facilitation of meaningful therapeutic art sessions that enrich our residents lives. We are looking for someone that has relevant experience in the delivery of multi-sensory therapeutic activities to service users with disabilities as well as experience of working in care previously. A willingness to motivate and support other members of staff is essential along with flexibility and a can do attitude to get stuck in where needed.

Important Information

Our location is not on a public transport route. Please note that to be considered for this role you must have a full UK driving licence as you will be required to transport individuals to and from activities.


You will also hold or be willing to work towards a Level 2 in Adult Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
