Miami Mixed Media is a full-service print and embroidery studio specializing in custom apparel merchandise and live event activations. We are looking for a Floor Manager to lead daily production maintain workflow efficiency and ensure all orders are completed accurately and on time.
Position Overview
The Floor Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the production floor ensuring smooth workflow across screen printing embroidery DTG and finishing departments. This role is responsible for supervising staff monitoring quality control coordinating schedules and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in print or embroidery production strong leadership skills and the ability to balance speed accuracy and team morale.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Oversight
- Manage daily operations across screen printing embroidery DTG and finishing.
- Assign jobs monitor progress and ensure deadlines are met.
- Troubleshoot production issues quickly to minimize downtime.
- Staff Supervision & Training
- Lead motivate and supervise production staff on the floor.
- Train team members on equipment safety and quality standards.
- Monitor performance and provide feedback to support growth.
- Quality Control
- Ensure all products meet client specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct spot checks during production runs.
- Address errors or defects immediately to keep production on track.
- Workflow & Scheduling
- Collaborate with management to set daily/weekly production schedules.
- Track job orders and adjust priorities as needed.
- Ensure proper allocation of resources and staff.
- Maintenance & Safety
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in safe working order.
- Enforce health and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with vendors for machine servicing when required.
Qualifications
- Required:
- 3 years of experience in screen printing embroidery or related production.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of production equipment inks threads and materials.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Preferred:
- Previous supervisory or management experience in a print/embroidery shop.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) for easier communication with team members.
- Familiarity with scheduling tools and workflow management.
Compensation
- Salary Range: $37440 $52000 annually (equivalent to $18$25/hour) based on experience.
- Eligible for performance-based bonuses tied to production efficiency and quality metrics.
