Job Description
We are currently accepting applications on behalf of our client for a full-time Accounting and Tax Executive to join their growing accounting and tax team.
If you are fully qualified have at least 2 years experience in client accounting and Maltese tax and are ready for an exciting career move wed love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities

Manage bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients including posting invoices reconciling bank statements and preparing accruals and prepayments.

Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.

Liaise with auditors and review financial statements under IFRS and GAPSME.

Compile and submit VAT returns tax returns and tax refund claims.

Review work prepared by junior team members ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Communicate with clients to gather required documentation.

Research tax laws and assist clients with applicable tax credits.

Respond to notices from tax authorities and liaise with relevant entities.

Provide non-financial managers with clear financial insights.
Requirements
-
Degree in Accounting/Finance or ACCA qualification (or in final stages with F module and Maltese tax experience).

Minimum 2 years experience in accounting and Maltese taxation.

Experience with a Big 4 firm is an asset.

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

Excellent English communication skills (C1/C2 level).

Highly organized detail-oriented and able to manage priorities effectively.

Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
