The Counseling Center Director provides operational oversight for the Pleasant Valley Counseling Center (PVCC) facilitates intern supervision and mentorship ensures proper adherence to Missouri counseling statutes and regulations and casts a vision for the growth and sustainability of the Pleasant Valley Counseling Center. The Counseling Center Director also collaborates with PVBC ministries to provide mental health support. The Counseling Center Director is a licensed professional counselor and regularly conducts 7-9 sessions on a weekly basis.
The Counseling Center Director provides strategic operational tactical leadership to all areas of the PVCC. This Director is also responsible for ensuring that all functions of the Counseling Center align with the mission and vision of the church.
Additionally the Director is expected to maintain a vibrant relationship with Christ. This Director should seek out personal development opportunities practice accountability in their work behaviors and fully support PVs mission vision and ministries.
Job Responsibilities
Provides operational oversight for the PVCC
Manages internship program including recruiting supervising and mentorship of interns
Director supervises between 4-6 interns and/or PLPCs at a time
Maintains professional relationships with various seminaries and universities
Ensures proper adherence to Missouris counseling statutes and regulations
Casts vision for PVCC
Provides counseling for approximately 7-9 clients per week
Oversees PVCC sponsored annual mental health conference
Collaborates with various church ministries to provide mental health programming and support for families and individuals
Qualifications / Job Skills

An engaged member of PVBC in good standing affirming the statement of faith and church covenant
Adheres to both AACC and ACA Code of Ethics
Written and verbal communication skills
Interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal
Organizational and administrative skills
Ability to operate/learn various computer applications (Microsoft Office Google Drive Planning Center Online) 8. Excellent chemistry with all PVBC staff
Experience and Education
Minimum of two years experience in Clinical Counseling
Minimum educational requirement of a Masters level in Counseling
Must be a Licensed Professional Counselor
NOTE: This position will include the opportunity to counsel clients as part of their regular duties to satisfy licensure requirements.
