Job Description
A leading Hong Kong conglomerate is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel to join its growing legal team. This key role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and contribute to the legal and regulatory integrity of leading listed companies in Hong Kong.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and draft agreements announcements and circulars
- Monitor and interpret legal and regulatory developments offering strategic guidance to internal stakeholders
- Prepare responses to consultation papers and contribute to policy development and design and implement compliance processes and deliver internal training programs
- Collaborate with the company secretarial team to manage all aspects of compliance for listed companies including HK Listing Rules SFO Companies Ordinance and Takeover Code
- Advise on general corporate and operational matters including employment marketing data privacy and other business-related legal issues
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer in Hong Kong with a minimum of 10 years PQE
- Proven experience in Hong Kong listed company compliance gained from reputable law firms and/or in-house corporate roles
- Strong and independent team player with a proactive solutions-oriented mindset and excellent communication skills
- Fluent in written and spoken English and Cantonese; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage
