Job Description
The European Stability Mechanism (ESM) is advancing its Data Governance roadmap with the objective of increasing organizational maturity in key areas: Principles & Policies Metadata Management and Data Quality.
We are looking for a Senior Data Governance Consultant with proven experience in MS Purview to support the Corporate Governance and Internal Policies (CGIP) team in the development of policies processes and best practices to strengthen the institutions data governance framework.
Tasks
The consultant will be responsible for:
- Assessing and updating MS Purview scenarios for structured and unstructured data.
- Preparing and updating the business case and supporting the planning phase of the MS Purview pilot.
- Defining requirements for the implementation and use of MS Purview.
- Proposing a strategy and vision to improve the data architecture.
- Developing proposals to strengthen data governance policies processes and frameworks.
- Enhancing the data catalog and metadata management.
- Defining and implementing best practices in data quality.
- Preparing training sessions for data champions and executive presentations.
- Delivering regular progress reports.
Requirements
- More than 7 years of experience in data governance projects.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Purview and its functionalities.
- Proven experience in strategies frameworks policies and processes related to Data Governance.
- Strong background in project management and task coordination.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of international best practices (DAMA/DMBOK).
- Familiarity with data governance tools and ideally modern data architecture.
- Previous experience with EU institutions or international organizations (a plus).
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
