Turner Industries Group LLC has an opening for a Site Manager to join our Team in the St. Paul MN area. The Site Manager position provides overall administrative and technical management for all lines of Turner business at the refinery. This is a long-term nested position. The site manager is the single point of contact with the owner for all Turner work. Non-exempt role; Reports to the Project Manager; Work scopes include routine maintenance supplemental maintenance tanks capital projects and turnarounds.


Essential Qualifications:

  • High school or equivalent
  • Minimum of eight (8) years construction management estimating and/or craft supervision experience in similar facility construction
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology equipment methods)
  • Advanced knowledge of jobsite crafts and ability to advise more efficient methods of productivity
  • Able to inspire employees to constant improvement while administering accountability
  • Excellent mentoring skills
  • Excellent communication organizational and supervisory skills essential
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
  • Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others at the workplace

Functional Requirements:

Oversee jobsite to ensure work is constructed in accordance with design budget and schedule; works in alliance with Project Manager; also includes interfacing with client representatives subcontractors security etc.; ensure all company client and project policies procedures standards etc. are adhered to; interpret policies as required update and revise site specific policies and procedures as needed with Project Manager and client approvals; provide leadership to cultivate a culture of excellence in safety across the jobsite; plan coordinate and supervise onsite functions (planning scheduling engineering material control and may provide day-to-day direction of onsite administrative staff in accounting purchasing etc.); supervise craft employees and/or other contractors as required by the contract; provide technical assistance i.e. interpretation of drawings recommending construction methods and equipment etc. as required; initiate and maintain extra work estimating and issuance of change orders; assume responsibility for productivity of crafts efficient use of materials and equipment and contractual performance; assist with implementation/interpretation of safety programs; perform additional assignments per supervisors direction


Compensation

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:

May be required to do the following: climbing ladders scaffolds structures etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders scaffolds structures etc.; reaching in all directions; handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level waist level and/or overhead; carrying objects tools equipment etc.; standing / sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction; wearing respirator and other PPE; typing / data entry; stepstool use; work in excessive heat; work in excessive cold; work in loud environment
