Our client is a leading Mechanical Construction Firm in the Carolinas and they are looking for an IT Director to guide the organizations technology direction. This role will spearhead digital transformation efforts spearhead automation and AI integration safeguard IT operations and ensure technology initiatives directly support company objectives. The position requires a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on execution.
Job Responsibilities -
- Create and manage a long-term technology strategy that aligns with overall business priorities.
- Research recommend and roll out innovative technologies-particularly automation and AI-to enhance workflows.
- Direct the maintenance and improvement of IT infrastructure cloud platforms applications and security measures.
- Direct and assist proper functionality of IT infrastructure in the office and in the field.
- Oversee data management frameworks analytics programs and reporting tools.
- Administer departmental budgets technology assets purchasing processes and supplier partnerships.
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored tech solutions that improve productivity and outcomes.
- Recruit and develop an effective and collaborative IT team.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant legal regulatory and cybersecurity standards.
- Oversee contingency plans to ensure business continuity in the event of disruptions.
Job Requirements -
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of advancing IT leadership experience with construction industry exposure preferred.
- History of successfully integrating technology strategies with broader operational goals.
- Deep knowledge of infrastructure design enterprise systems and technical support functions.
- Track record of leading automation and AI adoption projects.
- Strong background in data governance compliance and analytics.
- Exceptional communication leadership and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites and ability to handle equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
