Position: Exercise Physiologist- Injury Prevention Specialist

Location: Elgin IL (iherb warehouse)

Type of Employment: Part-time

Schedule: Hours Vary. 8-12 hours a week. 2-3 separate days with 1 of the days including evening hours

Compensation: $30.00- $40.00 hourly based on years of experience

Rush PT is currently seeking a part-time Injury Prevention Specialist/ATC for an industrial setting. This is for on-site Injury Prevention Specialist position at the iherb warehouse in Elgin IL. This is a great opportunity for a certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) EMT PTA COTA or individual of similar background.

Responsibilities

  • OnSite coverage for industrial customer under the direction of Account/Program Manager
  • Early Symptom Intervention with providing first aid services
  • Design and implement injury prevention strategies for the industrial setting such as individual and group conditioning functional assessments and behavioral modification
  • Health and wellness consultation and presentations

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:

    • BS Degree in exercise science/kinesiology/exercise physiology REQUIRED
    • Preferred one year experience industrial setting experience a plus
    • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Position requires a strong knowledge of musculoskeletal injury assessment and prevention interventions

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift patients using appropriate biomechanical techniques frequently throughout the course of a work day/shift; must be capable of easily lifting fifty (50) pounds dead weight alone.
    • Ability to walk bend stand and reach constantly during a work day/shift.
    • Visual acuity (near and distant) sufficient to evaluate diagnose and monitor patient needs and to maintain accurate records recognize people and provide directions.
    • Ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand and give directions.
    • Ability to push wheeled equipment through the facility and in the community.
    • Possess fine motor skills for legible and accurate writing of reports charting scheduling daily correspondence and presentations either manually or through use of dictation equipment.
    • Possess fine motor skills for effective and efficient handling of diagnostic or therapeutic equipment.
