Diesel Mechanic - 2nd Shift
Job Overview: Our Kannapolis Transportation client is seeking to add a NEW 2nd Shift Diesel Mechanic to their team. The Diesel Mechanic will perform repairs preventive maintenance and use advanced diagnostic tools to resolve mechanical issues efficiently. You will work closely with the Shop Manager maintain a safe work environment and uphold the highest industry standards.
This is a Direct Hire
Perform timely repairs and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment according to specifications using OEM software tools and technologies.
Install replace rebuild or repair parts and equipment to meet quality and performance standards.
Coordinate with the Shop Manager to schedule maintenance and repairs for optimal workflow.
Authorize or assist in scheduling dealer shop and field repairs applying warranties where applicable.
Utilize diagnostic tools and computer systems to troubleshoot and repair issues.
Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly.
Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company and OSHA standards.
Interpret diagnostic codes and failure modes to determine appropriate repairs.
Perform physical job duties including walking lifting twisting turning and ladder climbing.
Valid drivers license; CDL-A or CDL-B preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience in truck and/or trailer mechanics.
Minimum 1 year of experience in aluminum and steel welding.
Strong proficiency with tools and diagnostic equipment.

Schedule:
2nd Shift Monday through Friday 2:30pm to 12midnight - Every 5th Saturday 6am to 12pm
