- Minimum of three years recent applicable installation fabrication or related experience.
- Experience in aerospace industry
- Applicable Repairman Airframe or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required.

- Must be willing to work overtime
Summary
The Lead VIP Interiors Mechanic works under minimal supervision to safely perform aircraft removals installation and/or fabrication of aircraft interiors (which may include galleys closets lavatories side ledges bulkheads doors seats and panels).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads the aircraft removals installation and/or fabrication of aircraft interiors maintenance preventative maintenance alteration of or approve and return to service of any aircraft or part thereof only for which that Lead is rated and has satisfactorily performed the work concerned at an earlier date.
- Oversees and co-signs for uncertified mechanics in accordance with the company RSM procedures.
- Facilitates On-the-Job Training (OJT) to provide learning opportunities through work assignment and mentoring.
- Ensures all tasks are promptly completed in compliance with federal regulations customer guidelines and company policies.
- Uses technical data to order parts and ensure material is effective for aircraft being installed on.
- Recognizes unsafe conditions and takes immediate corrective action.
- Conducts crew meetings to ensure communication regarding work safety and quality.
- Communicates effectively with other personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise.
- Helps with general clean-up of work area.
- Responsible for accurately clocking to jobs.
- Regular and prompt attendance.
- Effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers.

Summary of Education Experience & Certification
High School education or equivalent. Minimum of three (3) years recent applicable installation fabrication or related experience. Applicable Repairman Airframe or Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certification required. Experience in aerospace industry preferred.
US Citizen Required - this position is located at a facility that requires special access.
This safety-sensitive position is covered by the Department of Transportations (DOT) Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Physical Requirements
- Able to comply with DOT/FAA Drug and Alcohol Testing Program.
- Able to climb and work on step stools and/or ladders.
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance and ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to reach overhead.
- Ability to work in a non-dust-free environment.
- Normal or corrected vision (required to perform exacting tasks).
- Full range of motion with both hands.
- Ability to work in a stooping kneeling or standing position and in cramped areas.
The expected WA salary range for this position is between $68000.00 - $93000.00 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience education location and other factors permitted by law.
