Job Description
Highlander Charter School is seeking a dedicated and qualified Long-Term Substitute Teacher to fill a temporary teaching position. This role is essential to maintaining continuity in the classroom and ensuring that students receive high-quality education during the absence of the regular teacher. The ideal candidate will be adaptable professional and committed to fostering a positive learning :Instruction: Deliver engaging and effective lessons according to the curriculum and lesson plans provided. Adapt instructional methods to meet the needs of diverse Management: Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment. Implement effective discipline strategies and address any behavioral issues in accordance with school : Monitor and assess student progress through various formative and summative assessments. Provide feedback to students and maintain accurate records of academic : Collaborate with school staff including administrators counselors and other teachers. Communicate effectively with students parents and guardians regarding student progress and any : Complete required paperwork including attendance records incident reports and lesson plans. Ensure all documentation complies with school and Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE) : Adhere to all school policies and procedures. Participate in professional development opportunities and school meetings as required.
