North Coast LLS is seeking a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as aSenior Land Services Officer (SLSO) Land Management.

  • Temporary Full Time up to 30 June 2026
  • Location: Grafton
  • LLS Grade 6 $113574 p.a super& leave loading

About the Role

As a Senior Land Services Officer you will:

  • Deliver expert frontline technical and advisory services to a broad range of stakeholder enquiries to support their application of the land management regulatory framework
  • Plan and conduct desktop and field-based assessments applying your skills and knowledge to identify and record agriculture industry land use patterns site landscape features native plant communities habitat of listed threatened entities
  • Apply technical information and regulatory requirements to develop and issue Land Management Code certificates and notifications to private landholders authorising the management of native vegetation
  • Provide extension services to promote best practice in land management.
  • Support emergency planning preparedness response and recovery efforts.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and contribute to strategic planning and program evaluation.

To be considered for an ongoing appointment applicants must be ongoing at either an equivalentor higher grade than this advertised vacancy (LLS Grade 6 or Clerk 7/8) OR on a current and valid talent pool at this grade or higher. Alternatively if you do not meet the requirement for an ongoing appointment you may only be considered for a temporary appointment of up to 12 months.
