This Position reports to:
Team Lead - General AccountingIn this role you will have the opportunity to provide accounting reporting and consolidation expertise. Each day you will support in accounting and reporting matters to business/reporting units through resolution of accounting and reporting questions financial statement preparation and review follow-up on accounting issues. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting in the preparation of financial reports in compliance with internal guidelines procedures and external regulatory requirements.

This role is contributing to the Finance Function in Bengaluru.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Contributing to the definition implementation and improvement of accounting policies relevant to your area and level of expertise.
- Executing established accounting policies and procedures ensuring compliance with ABB group policies and local instructions.
- Performing quality checks on financial reporting data submitted by the units including analytical review of major fluctuations and liaising with internal and external auditors on accounting and reporting issues.
- Conducting investigations and reconciliation of accounting transaction as necessary and facilitating the resolution of accounting and reporting issues.
Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)
- Monitor and managing the Accounting & Reporting activity of specific country / cluster of countries and ensuring timely recording of all General accounting activities and transactions in CFIN/ ERP.
- Coordinating with business Treasury & Payroll team for details of unallocated transactions on regular basis and avoid spilling over unallocated items to the subsequent months
- Performing review of reconciled GL accounts in the group tool
- Standardize accounting process across all clusters withing your responsibility.
- Implementation of newly developed program that helps accounting process across all clusters and participate in UAT activities wherever required.
