Job Description Summary:

The Funding Coordinator is responsible for the review and analysis of approved credit memorandum for all lending products fulfilled by the specialty finance group including interpretation of terms conditions covenants and restrictions on approval administration of lease and loan documents closing and funding of assigned obligations. Conducts preliminary review as needed and secondary review and analysis of approved loan structure and verification of the documents submitted and determine their compliance with Banks requirements.

Ensures compliance with established Bank policies and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of adherence to monitoring and responsibility for compliance with state and federal regulations and laws as they pertain to this position including but not limited to the following: Regulation Z (Truth in Lending Act) Regulation B (Equal Credit Opportunity Act) Fair Credit Reporting Act Bank Secrecy Act in conjunction with the USA PATRIOT Act Anti-Money Laundering and Customer Information Program Right to Financial Privacy Act (state and federal) and Community Reinvestment Act.

What Youll Do:

  • Reviews and analyzes credit write-ups determine loan structure and checklist of documents required from borrower; review preliminary entity documents; process loan documents within the established time frame and conduct final document reviews prior to signature and funding to ensure accuracy and compliance with terms and conditions of loan approval.

  • Reviews and takes appropriate action for conditions covenants and restrictions on approval and other collateral related documentation (UCC filing final invoices completed vehicle titles etc.).

  • Ensures compliance with policies and procedures related to loan documents as detailed in Credit Policy manuals.

  • Coordinates with originators and borrowers regarding issues/problems related to documentation closing funding and booking of the loan.

  • Reviews and ensures compliance of pre-funding and post funding requirements. Review all executed documents to determine completeness and proper execution and that no revision/changes have been made on the contract documents.

  • Validates all funding requirements and obtain waivers for all exceptions.

  • Confirms receipt of portfolio funding packages and performs second review of funding files to ensure completeness and accuracy.

  • Ensures funded files are booked accordingly and timely with Specialty Finance group accounting.

  • Processes contract amendment title intake title releases lien release creation and rebooking requests in accordance with policy and client agreements.

  • Assist with vehicle title completion and being the liaison for vehicle owners titling agency and the DMV

  • Provides coverage to team leader as needed.

  • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations policies and procedures.

  • Processes solves and answers customer transactions problems or inquiries.

  • Operates computer or personal computer to process account activity determine balances and resolve problems within given authority.

  • Answers direct telephonic or email questions from clients and staff and directs callers to proper Bank personnel when necessary.

  • Assumes responsibility for various department functions in the absence of staff members or in overload situations.

  • Follows policies and procedures; completes tasks correctly and on time; supports the Banks goals and values.

  • Performs the position safely without endangering the health or safety to themselves or others and will be expected to report potentially unsafe conditions. The employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules regulations and orders issued pursuant to the OSHA Act of 1970 which are applicable to ones own actions and conduct.

  • May perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Two or more years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Work related experience should consist of a background in Administration and documentation and supervisory skills.

  • Educational experience through in-house training sessions formal school or financial industry related curriculum should be applicable to the financial industry.

  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management and all customers.

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure of high volumes.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and accept change willingly.

  • Proficient in MS Office suite.

  • Intermediate math skills; ability to calculate interest and percentages; balance accounts; add subtract multiply and divide using whole numbers common fractions and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate ratio and percent.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role is $65000 - $75000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors such as a candidates qualifications skills and experience.
