Are you a strategic communicator passionate about sustainability and global impact FSC is looking for a dynamic Communications Manager to play a key role in driving our international communications this pivotal role you will lead the development of compelling multi-format narratives that resonate which you will package appropriately for different channels and monitor and evaluate in order to increase engagement with FSC content.

Main Roles & Responsibilities
- To lead the planning and execution of multi-channel communication projects leveraging internal expertise and external resources to ensure timely strategic and high-quality delivery.
- Coordinate multimedia project development with freelance videographers and communications staff in FSCs regions.
- Develop and maintain a dynamic content production calendar in coordination with the wider communications team.
- Create and oversee the development of compelling written contentincluding news items blogs web-stories opinion pieces newsletters factsheets and brochuresthat reflects FSCs voice values and strategic goals.
- Manage storytelling initiatives from end to end identify opportunities draft briefs gather content direct visual production and guide final outputs for publication and distribution.
- Lead the production of high-impact videos and podcasts for social media and other digital platforms managing the full content cycle from scripting to final publication.
- Collaborating closely with all communications leads to support strategic initiatives and ensure consistent messaging across FSC.
- Implement a robust feedback and evaluation loop for communications campaignsdefine KPIs monitor performance across channels and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Perform any other tasks assigned by formal supervisor and project work as assigned according to special organizational needs. other duties as assigned by the Communications Programme Manager in support of team priorities and organizational needs.
Your profile
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in communications ideally within international organizations or mission-driven institutions with demonstrated client-facing or stakeholder engagement experience.
- Experience leading the development of full-cycle communications assets including publications videos and social media campaigns.
- Proven experience translating complex sensitive or controversial topics into accessible and impactful communications with an understanding of safeguarding requirements and content best practices in NGO or advocacy contexts.
- Experience in monitoring communications content engagement levels and impact and adjusting content design and dissemination accordingly.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience overseeing in-house creative and editorial workflows including the creation of detailed schedules coordination of creative resources and real-time management of deadlines and priorities.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently while effectively contributing to and collaborating within an international cross-functional team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a natural collaborator able to drive results through teamwork influence and shared ownership.
- Service-oriented mindset with a proactive solution-driven approach to work.
- Energetic flexible and highly adaptable with a strong sense of initiative.
- Commitment to high-quality standards in both strategic thinking and content execution.
- Experience with Premier Pro will be an asset.
- Fluency in French or Spanish is considered an asset.
