Job Description

Job Overview:

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking a healthcare professional to join our Nursing Facility Policy Team. This position will be responsible for managing nursing facility (NF) quality initiatives ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and collaborating with various stakeholders to promote program quality. As the NF Quality Initiatives Manager your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing nursing facility quality initiatives to help support existing and future policy.

  • Staying current on federal and state rules and regulations.

  • Formulating policy and rules to help promote nursing facility quality.

  • Developing and implementing processes for monitoring program eligibility and reimbursement.

  • Evaluating and recommending funding for nursing facility grant applications to improve quality of care.

  • Collaborating with other agencies and ODM staff on nursing facility quality initiatives.

Completion of graduate core program in business management or public administration public health health administration social or behavioral science or public finance; 12 mos. the delivery of a health services program or health services project management (e.g. health care data analysis health services contract management health care market & financial expertise; health services program communication; health services budget development HMO & hospital rate development health services eligibility health services data base analysis).

-Or 12 months experience has Medicaid Health Systems Specialist 65293. Note: education & experience is to be commensurate with approved position description on file.

-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment.
