Overview
Rate: $23-$25
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a non-invasive and medication free procedure that uses magnetic fields to gently stimulate nerve cells in the brain to improve symptoms of depression. Advocates is looking for a motivated individual who enjoys working in a team atmosphere to join as TMS Technician. Advocates operates in trauma informed approaches and is looking for individuals who share the same values that embody the Advocates way

Responsibilities
- Administer TMS treatments according to established procedures and protocols. Set up the TMS medical device and monitor all aspects of the treatment sessions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with comfort coil contact and TMS system setup throughout treatment.
- Record session notes track insurance authorizations and schedule sessions.
- Provide educational consultations to people interested in TMS services.
- Provide services in a trauma informed approach that embody the Advocates Way.
- Facilitate collaborative care by maintaining effective communication with members of the persons identified team to include medication providers and other staff.
- Attend trainings as assigned.
- Attend and actively participates in supervision and staff meetings.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent and ability to successfully complete TMS training and demonstrate the ability to administer TMS treatments. Experience in mental health field preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill including documentation abilities.
- Basic computer skills. Ability to use an electronic health record.
- Ability to follow established treatment and office procedures.
- Intuitive client-centered supportive approach.
- Ability to thrive in an independent role while offering and receiving team support.
- Must hold a valid drivers license and access to an operational and insured vehicle.
- Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
