The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Child and Family Services Division.
This position is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support services to Child and Family Services social workers regarding foster care investigative and licensing functions. Responsibilities include: 1) Typing correspondence forms and other miscellaneous documents; 2) Maintaining and updating Foster Care and other child-related records; 3) Assisting staff with maintaining demographic information.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity
Ability to ensure a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping within tight deadlines minimizing errors and maintaining confidentiality in a demanding workflow.
Ability to operate a personal computer and general office equipment as necessary to complete essential functions including using spreadsheet word processing database email internet and other computer programs.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Skill in researching.
Preferred: Knowledge of the social services systems related to child protection issues.
Meet minimum qualifications:
High school diploma or its equivalent
Two years of job-related work experience in administrative support receptionist or other related areas

This position may be eligible for partial teleworkwithin the state of conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.
This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.00 an hour base pay increase effective July 1 2026.
