FWS Math Tutor

Position Summary:

The Math Tutor position at Maharishi School is designed to provide targeted remedial support to students struggling with mathematics concepts and skills. Working one-on-one after school the tutor assists students from grades 3 through 12 in improving their mathematical proficiency and confidence contributing to their overall academic success.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Deliver personalized math instruction to students in grades 3 through 12 adapting teaching methods to address individual learning styles and proficiency levels.
2. Maintain regular attendance and effective communication with students parents teachers and division directors to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
3. Adjust teaching strategies to cater to students with varying levels of math proficiency ensuring concepts are explained in a way that promotes understanding and mastery.
4. Track and assess student progress identifying areas of improvement and adjusting teaching approaches accordingly to provide effective remedial support.

Job Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of mathematics and excellent math skills essential for effectively assisting students across a range of math topics and difficulties.
• Ability to simplify complex mathematical concepts and explain them clearly to remedial math students helping them build a strong foundation in mathematics.
• Patience adaptability and a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for students with varying math proficiency levels.
