Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our school-based therapy team. Under the supervision of a licensed SLP the SLPA will help implement individualized treatment plans provide direct therapy services and support students in developing their communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out treatment plans designed by the supervising SLP.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Collect and record student progress data.
- Collaborate with teachers parents and the therapy team to reinforce goals in the classroom environment.
- Prepare and organize therapy materials and activities.
- Ensure compliance with all federal state and district regulations under the direction of the supervising SLP.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or Bachelors in Communication Sciences and Disorders (or related field).
- Active SLPA license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain before start date).
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred not required.
- Excellent communication teamwork and organizational skills.
- A passion for working with children and supporting their educational success.
