Role Overview
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design implementation testing and support of embedded control systems for aerospace-grade equipment. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering and collaboration across disciplines such as software mechanical and manufacturing engineering.
The ideal candidate brings experience in embedded systems aerospace compliance standards motion-control hardware and the ability to interface effectively with both internal and external technical stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement embedded processor-based digital control systems for electromechanical aerospace hardwareEnsure systems comply with EMI/RFI standards and applicable aerospace/military regulationsPrepare detailed technical documentation schematics and engineering reportsConduct or support qualification testing to standards such as DO-160 DO-254 MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-704Support product integration troubleshooting and improvement during production phasesCollaborate cross-functionally with mechanical software and manufacturing teams to meet performance and reliability targetsLead or support design reviews supplier interactions and technology evaluations
Required Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field5 years of electrical engineering experience (aerospace defense or electromechanical motion systems preferred)Strong background in embedded system design including analog and processor-based motion-control systemsProficiency with digital communication protocols: SPI Ethernet ARINC 429 MIL-STD-1553 CAN BusFamiliarity with EMI/RFI compliance and aerospace qualification standardsHands-on experience with ECAD tools such as Altium Designer OrCAD or similar
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with airborne systems sensors actuators or hoist/winch systemsIn-depth knowledge of DO-160 DO-254 and related FAA/DoD qualification standardsStrong technical writing and documentation skillsAbility to lead technical tasks and mentor junior engineers
