Application AI Team at SAP is looking to hire a Principal AI Product Manager.
Meet the Team:
This role is part of the Application AI team at SAP. This team works with all other Application LOB Teams. Our team comprises AI Product PMs Engineers and Data Scientists. We are driven to curate and build AI-first applications that create meaningful impact for our customers and their businesses. We partner with the various LOBs to analyze pain points and then work with customers to vet potential areas that can be scaled. This is a terrific and exciting team to be part of to solve legacy enterprise issues using AI.
Role Description:
- Collaborate with SAP external customers specifically in Retail and Manufacturing to drive workshops and outline AI use-cases. Develop PRDs to clearly communicate requirements to the Engineering teams.
- Leverage AI to solve pressing business challenges for our enterprise customers.
- Use the various AI Studios to quickly create proposed prototypes for both neural networks and Agentic AI use cases.
- Partner with leadership customers and prospects to identify opportunities where AI can deliver value at scale for multiple SAP customers to build end-to-end processes using AI.
- Define and track key business metrics that demonstrate the business impact.
- Collaborate with our engineering and development teams working on AI technologies UX designers and GTM teams to accelerate bringing products to the market.
- Develop customer-facing multi-modal Generative AI demos specific to use cases and document the script. Set up the environment for partners and solution architects to leverage.
- Conduct hands-on market research to validate requirements and ensure were building solutions that address real customer needs and market opportunities.
- Document what you know and guide others. This can vary from building targeted training for partners Solutions Architects and other internal stakeholders to writing blogs and to simply working through hard problems with a customer on a whiteboard.
Experience:
- 10 years of product management expertise with a proven track record of shipping.
- 2 years of hands-on experience building Generative AI models and shipping at scale.
- Experience building conversational tools and chatbots.
- Experience working with customers and building long-term strong relationships.
- Strong time-management and organization skills for coordinating multiple initiatives priorities and implementations of new technology and products into complex projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience successfully partnering with Data Science teams.
- Passion for directly engaging with customersfrom requirements gathering to demos and sales support.
- Experience working and guiding product and engineering teams distributed globally

Compensation Range Transparency: SAPbelieves the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAPs commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 180000 - actual amount to be offered to the successful candidatewill be within that range dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education skillsexperience scope ofthe role location etc. as determinedthrough theselection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
