As a Crew Controller at SAS youll step right into the heart of our operational activities. Here you make a difference every day by ensuring the right crew is in the right place at the right time. Youll work close to the action in our Operations Control Center (OCC) where together with experienced colleagues youll handle daily challenges and find solutions that keep SAS flying. This is a role for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment has a sharp eye for detail and enjoys working proactively under pressure.
Youll take on an important exciting and varied role in a team where collaboration responsibility and problem-solving are key and where your contribution is directly reflected in our flights.
As a Crew Controller youll be responsible for coordinating and securing crew staffing for SAS flights at all hours of the day and night in accordance with collective agreements aviation authority regulations (OM-A) and SAS internal guidelines. Youll help drive punctuality regularity and cost-efficiency through smart planning quick problem-solving and close collaboration with other functions within OCC.
Operational staffing of SAS flights during ongoing operations
Recovery during traffic irregularities
Handling reroutings and diversions
Staffing for extra production and commercial special requests
Ensuring correct service staffing according to the traffic program
Applying regulatory and company policies
To succeed in this role youll need:
Documented experience in personnel planning within operational environments
Understanding of and experience with collective agreements in staffing
Strong computer skills and experience with operational support systems
Completed upper secondary education or equivalent
Excellent English skills and fluency in at least one Scandinavian language (Swedish Norwegian or Danish)
Additionally this experience is an advantage:
Experience working in an OCC environment
Familiarity with SAS internal manuals and policies
Additional Scandinavian language skills
Solid knowledge of aviation authority regulations including OM-A

Employment type: Permanent with a 6-month probation period
Security clearance: Employment is subject to a background check approved by the Swedish Transport Agency
