Schedule: Monday-Friday 4:15pm-8:00pm

Client Bio:
This client requires a highly experienced caregiver with strong skills in behavioral support communication strategies and maintaining professional boundaries. Caregivers should avoid bringing personal valuables to shifts as the client has a history of taking others belongings. Certain communication approaches can be triggering so it is important to use positive non-confrontational language and reframe responses to reduce frustration.
The clients behavior patterns may shift over time and caregivers should be prepared for a range of responses from cooperative to more challenging. Support may be needed in addressing behaviors that can include physical or verbal aggression challenges with peers or siblings difficulty respecting property and leaving supervised areas.
The ideal caregiver will be patient adaptable and consistent in following safety protocols and the established daily routine. The client enjoys engaging in creative and leisure activities such as art reading and using electronic devices.

As a Caregiver with KIDS NW your day might include a little bit of everythingand a whole lot of heart. Your role is hands-on personal and full of opportunities to make lasting connections. Heres what youll be up to:
All Things ADL Supporting daily living needs like personal hygiene dressing mealtime restroom assistance mobility and more. Dignity and respect are always top priority.
Adventures & Outings From a walk in the park to a community event or ice cream run youll help plan and participate in activities that keep our members engaged and connected.
Life Skills & Confidence Building Be a coach and cheerleader! Youll help members strengthen social skills build independence and take pride in their progressbig or small.
Personalized Care in Action Follow and implement care plans tailored to each clients unique needs goals and abilities.
Daily Check-Ins & Progress Tracking Notice important changes celebrate wins and document progress health updates and behaviors so our team can provide the best support possible.

Heres what our ideal teammate brings to the table:
Own a smartphone or mobile device (required for clocking in/out and staying connected).
18 years of age or older
CPR & First Aid Certified Already certified or willing to complete at hire (employee covers costwell guide you).
At least 1 year in care roles such as caregiver teachers aide behavior support staff or similar hands-on work.
Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Able to pass a state background check and complete fingerprinting if required by the State of Oregon.
Drivers Safety Some members need rides so we may ask for a valid drivers license and auto insurance to keep everyone safe on the road.
