Position Summary:
As a Reading Tutor at Maharishi School you will provide personalized one-on-one instruction to students who require remedial support in reading helping them improve their skills and confidence outside regular school hours. The Reading Tutor position supports the schools mission to provide quality education by addressing students individual learning needs. By offering targeted remedial support the tutor contributes to student success and helps maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment within the school community.

This position appeals to students in any degree program who are passionate about guiding others and committed to helping young students overcome reading challenges. Ideal candidates possess patience empathy and a desire to make a positive impact on students academic journeys which can be beneficial for future careers in education counseling or related fields.

Job Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient and effective reading instruction to students in grades 3 through 12 customizing teaching approaches to meet individual learning needs.
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality while engaging with students parents teachers and division directors through clear and effective communication.
- Utilize strong reading skills to conduct engaging tutoring sessions that foster comprehension and skill development.
- Employ a simplified and systematic approach to teaching reading concepts ensuring students with remedial needs can grasp foundational skills effectively.
Job Qualifications:
- Proficient reading skills to effectively guide students on their reading journey and address their learning gaps.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts particularly in reading to support students in understanding fundamental skills.
- Patience and adaptability to work with students across different grade levels tailoring instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with students parents teachers and division directors fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment.
