Are you a passionate Science Teacher eager to inspire motivated pupils in a high-achieving setting A leading independent school in Reading is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join its thriving faculty from January 2026. This is a full-time permanent role offering the chance to teach across the sciences within a school renowned for academic excellence and a strong co-curricular tradition.
The Role
Full-time Science Teacher position starting January 2026
Teach Science across KS3KS4 with opportunities to specialise at A-Level (Biology Chemistry or Physics)
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment opportunities including science clubs university preparation and academic competitions
Work within a collaborative well-resourced Science Faculty with modern laboratories and excellent facilities

What Were Looking For
A degree in a Science discipline (Biology Chemistry or Physics) with PGCE/QTS (or international equivalent)
Ability to teach Science across the secondary age range with specialism at KS5 desirable
A proven track record of delivering engaging lessons that stretch and challenge students
Enthusiasm for fostering curiosity independent learning and academic excellence
Willingness to contribute to wider school life including co-curricular activities and trips
