Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced IBM DataStage Developer with hands-on expertise in Cloud Pak for Data to design develop and maintain robust ETL pipelines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data integration cloud-native development and enterprise data management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable ETL jobs using IBM DataStage on Cloud Pak for Data.
- Integrate with cloud storage systems such as Google Cloud Storage (GCS).
- Collaborate with data architects analysts and business stakeholders to understand data requirements.
- Optimize ETL performance and ensure data quality consistency and security.
- Deploy and monitor DataStage jobs in cloud-native environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in data pipelines and runtime environments.
- Document data flows job designs and operational procedures.
- Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to sprint planning and reviews.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
- 5 years of experience in IBM InfoSphere DataStage development.
- 2 years of experience with Cloud Pak for Data or similar cloud-native platforms.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT concepts data warehousing and data modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL Unix/Linux scripting and data transformation logic.
- Experience with cloud platforms (IBM Cloud GCP AWS or Azure).
- Familiarity with DevOps practices CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications/Good to have:
- IBM Certified Developer DataStage or Cloud Pak for Data.
- ETL tool Migration experience
