Job Description
Hours: Full-Time Position 35 Hours

The NYC Department of Design and Construction Division of Infrastructure is currently seeking a Deputy Director to join the Construction Management 2 Queens South Section 1 team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for an annual capital program comprised of multiple construction projects at a value of over $300M; manage professional and technical construction staff responsible for overseeing capital-funded sewer water main roadway sidewalk pedestrian ramp plaza climate resiliency public space improvement projects; review construction plans; coordinate with sponsor agencies private utility firms and stakeholders to resolve any operational field problems involving construction; ensure contract compliance and payment of consultants; schedule and perform final inspections and participate in various agency taskforces such as those related to new initiatives in change orders project record keeping quality assurance forecast Yearly Mayoral Report quantities etc.
Moreover the Deputy Director will act as the representative of the borough in meetings with utility companies and city state and federal agencies when needed; train staff in executing the teams responsibilities; participate in the recruitment efforts of the agency; and support the Assistant Commissioner and Director with the teams objectives as required.

ADM ENGINEER (NON MGRL) - 1001A
Qualifications :
1. A valid New York State License as a Professional Engineer.
2. Six (6) years of full-time satisfactory experience in chemical engineering civil engineering electrical engineering environmental engineering mechanical engineering or plan examining work at least two (2) years of which must have been in an executive managerial or administrative capacity.
