Job Description

Position: Survey Manager

Location: Thomaston GA Possible Hybrid

Compensation: $125000 - $145000 DOE full benefits and bonus

Employment Type: Full-Time

About This opportunity:

Our client is a leading provider of professional survey mapping site planning and civil engineering services throughout the United States and a Top 100 ENR Design Firm in America. They are dedicated to delivering innovative solutions and exceptional results. They are seeking a motivated Survey Manager to join their team in GA and run a top-notch team of Surveyors. This role is ideal for a licensed Georgia Professional Land Surveyor with strong leadership organizational and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble field data perform survey calculations and prepare legal descriptions
  • Manage operations of multiple field crews
  • Provide quality control and quality assurance on all project work
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets and billing
  • Responsible for client management on projects
  • Business development for discipline in market
  • Lead and manage team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations goals feedback 1:1 meeting coaching) that supports the growth and development of team
  • Prepare boundary ALTA/NSPS and topographic surveys

Qualifications:

  • PLS is required.
  • Must be able to work in the office in Thomaston GA
  • 7 years of experience in land surveying.
  • High School diploma.
  • Proficiency in survey software (e.g. AutoCAD Civil 3D MicroStation) and GPS/Total Station equipment.
  • Strong understanding of surveying principles legal descriptions and mapping techniques.
  • Excellent organizational time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.
  • Experience with budgeting scheduling and resource management.
  • Valid drivers license and ability to travel as needed.
